Arrived Safe and Sound

Well we have arrived here in Mt. Home and are getting all settled in. We have got the kids enrolled in school and everyone is set to start on Monday 27 Aug. Darren will be in Middle school this year and Josh & Jenna will be still be in Elementary School. Josh will join Darren next year and Jenna will still be in the same school. We have started the process of getting a house built in and up and coming subdivision. The view is spectacular and we are getting a great deal on the house and land. I hope everything goes ok and we can move in by the end of October as planned. This move was rough at first but I have found that the Military Family network is very much in tack and alive. We have had nothing but awesome help in this move due to Military family members and their help. From our realtor to the ladies that got Mom and Crystal their slots at Wal-Mart all has been great! Well that's it for now, we will update as soon as we have more news. I leave back for Cannon on Saturday and then will hopefully drive up here again around 17 Sep.

Finally we have an assignment!

Well we signed today for our assignment to Mt. Home AFB in Idaho. We will be leaving this Sunday to head up there and get the kids enrolled in School. We plan on stopping along the way in Clearfield, UT to see our friends the Kiger's on our way thru and then finally make it to Mt. Home on Tuesday evening. I will then be coming back after a week to NM to get our house packed out and finalize everything down here before returning to ID in September. My squadron is being really good to me and letting me go next month but nothing else seems to be falling in place. We will end up living in Boise since there are no slots at the wal-mart in Mt. Home for Crystal or Mom. I dont look forward to the 45 min commute everyday but oh well. I am more concerned about it in the winter months than anything. We are looking in to purchasing our next home so we will be busy house hunting over the next couple of weeks. Hopefully we will find a decent house for what we can afford. When we get settled in we will let everyone know our new address and phone number.

Choices...Choices...Choices!!!!

Well we received our not so great choices today. We get to choose from Idaho, North Dakota and South Carolina. We have prioritized them into Idaho, South Carolina and then last and hopefully not North Dakota. We are definately hoping for Idaho and have planned to leave next friday to get up there. We are supposed to pick our choice next wednesday and then I will post the final result. Keep your fingers crossed for us to get our number 1.
